Mapping Project

The Mapping of Texas History Project

This year you will lead your students on a journey that will have them map the history of Texas as they learn about it in class. Are you tired of having to explain over and over again where certain things in our state are when some of them are in our own backyard?? This comprehensive map will solve those problems and more because it is centered on the Processing TEKS and full of essential content information. You are responsible for getting every one of your students to create and complete all of the map activities throughout the year. Don't worry, all of those instructions and questions can be found on the appropriate tab of this site. Below is a link to the instructions on how to get your kids started. Feel free share or print this for your each of your students.
Also, the map below is a start to what your students' product will look like. Click the arrow in the upper left hand corner of the map to display the different layers (topics) that will be discussed.
